AUGUST 2013- Nice trail ride at Expat Morgans on the 18 of August, 2013. Marion on Glory Rose on Jojo Juju on Cassou Momo on Superstar Philippe on Clancy Simon on Ruby Nora on Bellini Anne and Scott following and taking pictures.

JANUARY 19, 2013- Catch and Fanta have both been purchased by the GSB stud in Germany. We are very proud that Ralf and Christiane choose our girls to integrate their breeding program. We can't wait to see what this combination of the lines of two major European breeders will produce.

Expat have started their YouTube channel: YouTube/Expatmorgans. Check out our horses in motion.

JANUARY 2013- Exciting start to the new year for Team Expat: we are moving to Ireland. We are very excited to bring the Morgan breed to the Emerald Isle. We will of course continue to compete across Europe to offer stallion services internationally. As part of our moving project we are offering some of our horses for sale at bargain prices. Check out the sales pages and get in touch!

Article in Cheval Magazine- The French horse monthly "Cheval Magazine" did a piece on the Morgan in their breed discovery section. Expat Morgan was mentioned as the only French breeder and a reference breeder in Europe. The journalist came for a visit at our stud and was dazzled by the Morgans. The article was an unconditional endorsement of the breed.

Article in Cheval Pratique- In their July 2012 edition, French month "Cheval Pratique" did an in depth article about the Morgan breed. Anne was quoted in the article. We got numerous enquiries and visits to the stud from people who wanted to know more about this "American Icon" as the journalist described the Morgan. We can safely say that a few more French people have become Morgan fans.

Summer Clinic at Expat Morgans- Gertrud Henricks was the clinician for the 2012 Expat Morgan Summer Clinic. She worked with 8 motivated riders on a wide range of topics: in hand presentation, long lining, saddle seat and equitation. We all learned a lot and thank her very much for her help.

Congratulations to Armelle and Caroline. Their Appaloosa cross mares are confirmed in foal to Expat's Regimental Colors and Expat's Commodore JPJones respectively. We hope they get the lovely spotted babies they wish for.

BMHS Western Region Show- For the first time Team Expat Morgans participated in the BMHS Western Region Show at Monnington Court (Hereford). Expat's Regimental Colors, Expat's Charlie's Company, Expat's Cassandra, Expat's Commodore JPJones and Expat's Siren Song brought some international flavour to the event. Our crew did us proud with wins in the Stallion In Hand, Yearlings in Hand and In hand Trail Classes. We demonstrated true Morgan versatility with ribbons in different divisions: In Hand, Trail , Hunter, Road Hack, Sport Horse and Dressage.

Congratulations to Edelhof Morgans- We are very happy to announce that Expat's Lead From the Front, Edelhof's Senior Stallion, get won the under 3 mare class, the under 3 stallion class as well as the Reserve Junior Mare and Junior Stallion Champion titles at the DMHA 2012 show. Edelhof's Black Edition (2012 colt by Expat's Lead From the Front) was graded a "premium" foal at the Hessen Pony Club Show. Congratulations Eva and family!

First French Morgan Horse Show- On 21 & 22 July we organized the First French Morgan Horse Show at our stud. The weather was perfect, enthusiastic spectators turned up, 35 horses were shown and Gertrud was a great (and patient) judge. We made new friends, had big BBQs, rode to win and are looking forward to doing it all again next year! Click here for results, and check out the pictures below.
French Morgan Show, July 2012-Scott and Julie very pleased about Expat's Mysterious Star's 1st place in the Foal class.

French Morgan Show- Many thanks to Gertrud Henricks our judge and Josie our ribbon girl!

French Morgan Show- Anne and Morgan very proud of Ancan Kodachrome.

Equirando 2012- Equirando is the largest Trail Riders meeting in Europe. The event took place the last weekend of July at the haras du Pin in Normandy. Team Expat Morgans was there with Tosca (8), Superstar (3), Gracie (3), Clancy (12), Bailey (12), Cass (4) and Bellini (4). For the 2012 edition there were more than 800 horses in 45 teams from 9 countries. The parade was more than 8 km long. We had a lovely weekend, a great race on the Allee du Roi (someplace I have wanted to gallop ever since we moved to Normandy) and, as usual, the horses advertised themselves. People could not believe that young horses could be so confident, easy and well behaved (it doesn't hurt that they are gorgeous too).

Randonnee de la Paix 2012- As part of their preparation for Equirando 2012, Team Expat Morgan Morgans participated in the Randonnee de la Paix in Caen. This yearly event brings together not only riders and carriage drivers but also people on foot, on bicycles and on roller-skates. Several itineraries are offered with a 30 km loop for the riders and drivers. At the end of the day all participants arrive at the Peace Memorial in Caen. We took 5 horses and had a great ride, especially along D-day Juno beach. Once again the Morgans were much admired and praised.

Randonnee de la Paix- Anne and Scott on Juno Beach, Bernieres sur Mer.

Randonnee de la Paix- Team Expat, still fresh and smilling after 35 km on the trails!

Star of London show- This year was our first participation at the Star of London show in Pachesham Equestrian Centre Surrey, England. The morning was very wet but spirits were up and we all soldiered on. The afternoon was gloriously sunny and perfect for the ridden classes. We met other Morgan owners and riders and very much enjoyed this well organized friendly show. Of course, we were pleased with our horses and the ribbons they won. We are looking forward to the 2013 Edition.

Here is our first French baby. She will be called Expat's Over the Moon and she was born Monday May 3, 2010 at 3 AM. Dam is Ancan Second Fiddle and Sire is Ancan Kodachrome.

Expat Morgans participated in the Morgan breed promotion at the Flanders Horse Expo 2010 in Gent (Belgium) on 27 February 2010. Spectators were able to see first hand the versatility of the Morgan horse with exhibitions in-hand, under western saddle, over jumps, and of course in English Pleasure. Ancan Kodachrome was shown in hand and over jumps.
